In January 2010, the fictional remake rights of THE BENGALI DETECTIVE were acquired by Fox Searchlight, with Stephen Frears (THE QUEEN) attached to direct. D.V. DeVincentis (HIGH FIDELITY) will be writing the English-language adaptation and Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free banner will produce.
